was experienced by my dear sweet soylahtayplease and I tonight as we had the AMAZING opportunity to meet one Mr. Dominic Monaghan....*sigh*

I've been lucky enough to have several "fan" experiences with different fandoms and such that I have been a part of. However, tonight tops each and every one of them.

J and I arrived around 4:30 to a relatively short line at Best Buy in West Hollywood...so we decided to go get batteries for my camera (which turned out to be broken so we had to get a disposable one) and then Starbucks and head to wait in the line. We met wonderful people who were just oh so sweet...even went and got us more Starbucks later in the evening. Seeing as the signing didn't start until 10:30 we had plenty of time to kill. We played cards and just had a nice time talking and such. There was no yelling, fighting, bitching, DRAMA...nothing, just nice people of all types.................

So we get our numbers and J and I are numbers 34 and 35. We meet a GREAT girl who was sitting in front of us and told her we'd take her pictures for her and she was going to take ours. We had our stuff ready and around 10:30 they begin to let a FEW people in...we had to wait until a little after 11:00 but as the moment approached we were just giddy with excitement. We promised each other not to be "fan girls" but as soon as we caught a glimpse of Dominic we had to squeel...just a little...

Anyway, its Lyn's (is that right J?) turn and she has Dominic talk to her friend on the phone which was ADORABLE...and then its our turn......J gave him the calendar that funnybitch gave her for Christmas that is all LOTR people....DOM LOVED IT!!!! He called it the "unofficial Dominic Monaghan calendar" :grin:...the best though was as he was looking through it, amazed as he was, he stopped on a picture of Billy and said "I love billy" and just sighed.......SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE it was AMAZING!!!!! He also came across a picture of himself in November and says "I look rather tired in this one eh? But also kinda sexy"...yeah, we agreed with that whole heartedly...He signed a card for a friend of mine and not only wrote his name but PERSONALIZED THE CARD!!! He was incredibly gracious and nice....J and I gave him "Mickey" ears from Disney with Merry on one pair and Pippin on the other, he LOVED them....we told him that he'd see Billy before we will and his comment was "I'll see him in a couple of weeks" :GRIN: and he was all smiley about it :) We got our picture taken with him and it was just perfect. I really think he would have liked to have looked at the calendar more but we were being pushed through....

So we go outside and proceed to SQUEEL like the fan girls we said we WOULDN"T be...and just gushed over how sweet and kind and polite and funny and cute...etc...Dominic was....then we got back in line to get our DVD's. Well, after we got them, the manager of Best Buy saw J pull out the camera, he told her to go right on up there and take pictures...as she was taking pictures the person talking to Dom left and he looked up and saw me and just smiled that beautiful Dom smile and waved....*sigh*

Needless to say, this was hands down THE BEST fan experience I could have ever had. I got to share it with an AMAZING friend and it was just wonderful. I really can't get over it....

Well, I hope you have enjoyed my babble...there will be pictures as soon as they are developed.....OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I almost forgot....on the ground...we found DOM"S SELF PORTRAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP :) It will be iconed and you will all see it soon :) :grin:
